Meet the Champions of Wimbledon
Marion Bartoli

She won the Wimbledon title without dropping a set and can
finally etch her name in the history books of grand slam champions. She reached
the Wimbledon final in 2007, but was unable to defeat Venus Williams. She was
steady and looked like she wasn't nervous one bit and took out the talented
grass court German, Sabine Lisicki. I'm not sure if she can repeat this success
much more and I don't think she will win the US Open, but things may fall into
place for her again and she could prove me wrong!

Great Britain has waited 76 years for another male Wimbledon
champion and they have finally got one. Not only did he overcome the pressure
to win the trophy, he did it in emphatic fashion by defeating the top player in
the world in straight sets. He had a game plan and played spectacular defense
leading to many Djokovic errors. Novak still looked gassed from his 5 set
marathon match against Del Potro, but that is no excuse in that he was
outclassed Sunday. Andy now has 2 slams under his belt and he is playing in the
prime of his career and may be on his way to winning many more. He is the title
defender of the US Open and has a great chance of winning that title as well
given his current form.
